Trevor L. Hall, MD, CCFP, Dip. Sport Med.
Medical Director
Dr. Trevor L. Hall is a physician specializing in sports medicine. In addition to his work with ExecuCorp, Trevor is the medical director at Grand River Sports Medicine Centre and the sports medicine consultant for the Wilfrid Laurier varsity football team. He serves as an assistant clinical professor with the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University and is a guest lecturer with the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo.
Trevor completed his medical school training and family medicine residency at the University of Toronto. He also completed the Toronto Primary Care Sport Medicine Fellowship Program and obtained the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine Diploma. Dr. Hall’s sports medicine training includes working with professional groups such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and the National Ballet Company.
His experience includes medical services at international events with various Canadian national teams. He was selected as team physician for the Canadian triathlon team for the 2004 World Triathlon Championships in Madeira, Portugal and was selected as a physician for the Canadian medical staff at the 2003 Pan American Games in the Dominican Republic.
Trevor’s own sports pursuits include international competitions such as track and field, mountain biking and road cycling.
F. Joseph Lee, MD, CCFP, FCFP, MClSc (FM)
Medical Consultant
Dr. Joseph Lee is a family physician in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Joe is a graduate in medicine from the University of Western Ontario, completed
his Family Medicine Residency through Queen’s University and completed a Master
of Clinical Science in Family Medicine degree at the University of Western
Ontario.
Joe is the founding chair and lead physician of the Centre for Family Medicine and Family Health Team in Waterloo Region. He is also the founding Site Director for the McMaster Kitchener-Waterloo Family Medicine program.
He is involved in many local organizations including the KW Academy of Medicine, the Physician Recruitment committee and the Physician Talent Charity night. Joe is a member of the provincial Physician Leaders Group for Family Health Teams.
As the inaugural Director of Medical Education, Joe was instrumental in setting up the Waterloo Regional Campus for the DeGroote School of Medicine.
Among Joe’s special honours are the inaugural Ontario Practice of the Year; Family Physician of the Year, Southwest Ontario; Centennial Award of Excellence of Southwest Ontario from the Rotary Club and; the Janus Scholarship.
Marc Sawyer, MD, CCFP
Family Physician
Dr. Marc Sawyer is a family physician who received his medical degree from
McMaster University and also completed his family medicine training at
McMaster.
Marc provides a comprehensive family medicine assessment, with an emphasis on testing and investigation. He is a firm believer in preventive health and works with other health professionals to provide complete patient care.
He teaches medical students and future family doctors as part of the Waterloo Regional Campus of McMaster Medical School. Other interests include physical and sports medicine, as well as in-office small surgical procedures.
Marc is a long-time resident of Kitchener-Waterloo and maintains a separate family medicine practice in the community.
Sabrina M Lim, B. SC. Hon, MD, CCFP, (M. Clin. Sci. in progress)
Family Physician
Dr. Sabrina Lim is family doctor whose current practice encompasses the full range of patient care. Sabrina is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University and is the Clinical Skills Coordinator for the Waterloo Regional Campus of the De Groote School of Medicine
Sabrina is an honours graduate of the University of Toronto Medical School. She did the Family Medicine Residency Program through McMaster University, where she was a Chief Resident. Sabrina completed an academic fellowship through McMaster University and is currently finishing her master’s degree in clinical sciences from University of Western Ontario.
She has earned numerous academic awards and contributes extensively to research publications. Sabrina was featured in University of Toronto’s recruitment publication: “Great Minds for a Great Future”.
Wende Bedirian, RN
Registered Nurse
A native of Kitchener, Wende Bedirian has been a registered nurse for 32 years. Wende worked as an occupational health nurse at BF Goodrich Canada, served as a medical/surgical nurse at St Mary's General Hospital and was a family practice nurse with several family physicians.
Wende is a nursing preceptor for practical nursing students at Conestoga College. She is currently the lead nurse at The Centre for Family Medicine where her management and training responsibilities include the Refugee Health Clinic, Travel Clinic, Diabetes Management Clinic, Chronic Disease Management, Infection Control and Health and Safety.
Tyson Staples, BSc. Kin, CEP, CSCS
Exercise Physiologist
Tyson Staples is a certified exercise physiologist, certified strength and conditioning specialist, Renegade Kettlebell instructor and a Poliquin Performance Centre practitioner.
Tyson received his honours Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 1998. He has experience in providing both training and consulting services to athletes and clients covering hockey, rugby, soccer, tennis, golf, triathlon and professional stage actors.
With a passion for athletics and sports, Tyson started as a personal trainer. He eventually took on a leadership role with Canada's largest chain of fitness clubs, providing his expertise to his peers and helping them improve their own skills.
In his spare time, Tyson competes in one of his many athletic pursuits, which include playing rugby, hockey, competing at Ironman triathlon events, skiing, rock climbing and mountain biking.
Melynda Dixon, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
A graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2005, Melynda Dixon is a Registered Massage Therapist. Melynda is with the Grand River Sports Medicine Centre where she focuses on treating athletic injuries, repetitive strain injuries and motor vehicle accident patients.
With a desire to enhance her professional credentials and further help her clients, Melynda is currently completing her third of five years of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. She enjoys travelling, rock climbing and family time with her daughter and husband.
