Cara Kasdorf, RD, BSc, M.A.N.,

Registered Dietitian

A registered dietitian, Cara Kasdorf provides nutrition counselling for active individuals who want to enhance and maximize their performance through proper nutrition.

Originally from Winnipeg, Cara graduated from the University of Manitoba and completed a combined dietetic internship and Master of Applied Nutrition degree at the University of Guelph. Cara is an avid marathon runner and understands the nutritional demands of rigorous training and competition. Active in the community, she teaches at running clinics and speaks on the topic of nutrition and running.

She was associated with the Women's Health Clinic in Winnipeg, promoting health body image and healthy eating to high schools and women's groups.

Cara is currently involved with the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty as a workshop facilitator for adolescent girls, focusing on body image and healthy self-esteem.
 

Julie Torrance-Perks, Ph.D.

Registered Psychologist, Life Balance Professional

Dr. Julie Torrance-Perks is a registered psychologist and partner in the practice of Drs.  Baar, Doering, Torrance-Perks, Drugovic, Vaerum & Associates.

With a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Waterloo, Julie offers consultation, assessment and treatment for adults, adolescents, children and couples, including clinical supervision. She has a special interest in wellness training as well as using hypnosis and self-hypnosis to improve well-being and manage stress. In her spare time, Julie enjoys hiking, biking, boating and skiing.

Mira Drugovic, Ph.D.

Registered Psychologist, Life Balance Professional

Dr. Mira Drugovic is a registered psychologist and partner in the practice of  Drs. Baar, Doering, Torrance-Perks, Drugovic, Vaerum & Associates.  After receiving her Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, Mira settled into private practice and developed a special interest in managing stress, anxiety, depression and trauma and in working with children and families. 

Mira provides consultation, assessment and treatment for adults, adolescents, and children, while also supervising and training clinical associates.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, jewelry design, art and multicultural cooking.


Gloria Taylor

Family Therapist

Gloria Taylor operates her own a private counselling and consulting practice where she offers individual, couple, family and group services. Gloria also offers an AAMFT accredited course in Family of Origin, as a member of the adjunct faculty at the Waterloo Lutheran Seminary.

A graduate of Toronto East General Hospital School of Nursing, Gloria worked in several areas of nursing care. She served an internship at the Interfaith Pastoral Counselling Centre and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a BA in religion and culture.

Gloria continued her education at Azusa Pacific College in Los Angeles, California where she attained an MA in Marriage and Family. She was a staff supervisor at IPCC, teaching and supervising courses in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as providing workshops in the community.

Locally, she has worked with groups and organizations including the Waterloo County Board of Education, the Saugeen Indian Band, Wilfrid Laurier School of Social Work and several social agencies throughout the province.

One of Gloria’s recent challenges and successes is her work with a writers’ group in Vancouver, B.C. Together, they have produced two books on the theories, skills and writings of Virginia Satir, known as the grandmother of family therapy, and are currently working on a third book.
